Florida Tile recently received an Award of Excellence from Mountain Re-Source for the company’s continuing humanitarian efforts in Appalachia and, most recently, for the victims of the Haitian earthquake.
Through a pair of programs, worldwide Habitat for Humanity and the regional Mountain Re-Source and through its efforts to support Haiti’s Operation Compassion efforts, Florida Tile has thus far found humanitarian use for and donated more than $600,000 in surplus tile which otherwise would have been destined for clean fill projects or plant recycling.
