According to Manzhouli Inspection and Quarantine Bureau Office, Manzhouli railway port timber imports continued to increase since March 2010.Log imports volume reached 66 million m3 and wood-based panel to 16 million m3,up 40% and 34% compared with in February. Since entering March, the volume of imported timber shows a growing trend. A dealer said, the high demand of domestic timber market and increasing supply gap are the main reason.
