Unemployment stays at 9.7 percent

Februarys unemployment rate was unchanged and stayed at 9.7 percent, the U.S. Department of Labor reported, with a loss of 36,000 nonfarm jobs.

The majority of the losses was in the construction sector, while temporary work agencies expanded as businesses began to tentatively rebuild their enterprises.
