Teak Market kept on climbing in this month because of the good usage of Teak wood in Olympic facilities. Although wood market was depressed in recent months, the prices of Teak still increased. Currently, price of Teak in China wood market was RMB9000-20000/m3 in August, up RMB500/m3 over the previous month. Its reported that, to maintain the market of Burma Teak, the Burma government begun to control the Teak exports. This led to the drop of Teak supply in China.
