The export of Chinese wood doors and windows increased greatly in the past three years with the average growth rate of 40%. Its reported that, the total output of wood doors and windows in China amounted to RMB3.20 million in 2006; the export value was $500 million. Whereas, the total output will exceed RMB40 million in this year; and the export value will top $700 million.

The rapid development of Chinas wood doors and windows industry mainly benefited from the well development of Chinese construction industry and upholsteries. Right now, there are about 3000 of wood doors and windows companies in China. However, most of those companies have a low technology with low efficiency and output. This situation will highly restrict the further development of Chinas wood doors and windows industry in the future.
