According to the Customs statistics, the import and export of Chinas woodbased panel declined greatly in 2008. And negative growth of MDF and plywood occurred in Chinas woodbased panel industry in the past two months.

Its said that, there are two aspects caused the decrease of Chinas wood products.
First is the development situation of domestic and foreign economy. The implementation of new policies and tax rate caused the rise of cost. And the depression of America economy also affected the import of Chinas woodbased panel.

Second, the rise of technique walls in the world also restricted the export of Chinas woodbased panel.

Right now, the MDF market was smooth, whereas the factory price of particleboard increased by RMB 1-2/sheet.
