Costs of North America Wood Climbed Continuously

(Create time:2008-6-19 Hits: Editor: )

Dealers in North America had to face the severely market situation with sharp rise of cost in the past half year, which made the business of North American wood more difficult. Whereas, the costs of North American wood was still in the trend with a steady increase.

Right now, the continued negative effect of subprime mortgage crisis and the depreciation of U.S. dollar, as well as the inflation in the world, caused the rise cost of North America wood. Dealers increased the price of North America wood to maintain the profit, as well as avoid the economic losses. However, it’s said that, with the rise of crude oil price and labor cost, the costs of North American wood further increased, with the growth rate of US$300-400/stuffing in April and May of this year.

Although the demand for the North American wood was less than in the past year, influenced by the rise of crude oil, the price will further jump in the next two or three months.
