Its reported that, the price of MDF thin board products with 2-6cm of thickness continued to decline. Because of the intensified market competition among the up-stream companies in MDF industry, many key MDF companies lowed the factory price to promote the distribution of MDF products. Taking thin board precuts for example, the factory price of Dare thick board with 4.5 cm thickness declined by RNB0.8-1/sheet, as well as the market price dropped to RMB24.5/sheet. However, the price of thick board was in stable. The decrease of MFD price increased the management risks. Thus many dealers reduced the store shipment of MDF to avoid the management risks.

Experts pointed out, influenced by the rise of chemical material prices, the cost of adhesive for woodbased panel greatly jumped in recent months, however, the price of MDF did not as increased as expected. Its said that, if the price of MDF kept to decline, the whole woodbased panel industry will have to be shuffled.
