According to the report from Yuzhu Wood Market, prices of logs from Southeast Asia increased slightly in the Chinese wood market. Influenced by the rise of transportation expenses and labor cost, suppliers in the Southeast Asia countries such as Malaysia,   increased the price of log. At the same time, the price of log jumped in the Chinese wood market.

Recently, the price of Merbau from Indonesia went up and down quickly in the Chinese wood market also. Because of the rise of crude oil in the international market and the transportation expenses, the price of Merbau increased by RMB50-70/m3. However, the market demand for Merbau was quite weak. This situation highly hurt the interests of dealers. Right now, the price of Merbau in Chinas wood market was in a low level.
